Seeking a dedicated IT Analyst with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills to join DL Analyst Team. Under the general direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Specialist I functions as a technical and business lead analyst for complex applications and information systems related to Driver License. The primary duties lie within the Business Technology Management, IT Project Management, and Software Engineering domains of the classification and include the analysis and evaluation of business systems, gathering and documenting of the requirements and design. The incumbent will be required to use the department’s requirements management tool to document, track, and ensure requirements are successfully tested; ensure that IT projects are undertaken with clear business objectives, customer needs are met, departmental standards are followed, and project milestones and deliverables are accomplished; provide leadership, input, and assistance throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of waterfall and Agile projects; create Integration Test (IT) plan; perform integration testing; report defects; work with developers and testers to resolve issues; monitor activities and provide regular status updates; recommend solutions; oversee the effort through completion. analyze and recommend information technology solutions on complex projects acts as an information technology subject matter expert; mentor and train newly assigned staff; and assist in identifying process improvement opportunities.
Desirable Qualifications: strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to be resourceful and work independently; able to take initiative and lead; able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; complete understanding of the SDLC as well as the waterfall and Agile methodologies; experience with Requirements Management Tools and Requirements Traceability; experience with project management practices and principles; strong self-starter; able to demonstrate a high level of personal organization and effective facilitation of JAD/JRD sessions; experience in requirement elicitation and management and solution validation for large IT projects; experience in building strong relationships across business and technical teams and the organization; and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel
