Purpose of Position

Under the direction of the Data Engineering Manager, The Data Engineer Senior is responsible for the design, development, testing, and on-going management of the NetJets data pipeline processes. This role will utilize industry best practices to assemble and transform data from disparate systems into data stores. This person will provide mentorship to less experienced team members. The ideal candidate will have prior experience on a data warehouse development team and a passion for working with data. This position will collaborate with business and team members to understand requirements and design robust data solutions. 

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test data solutions to support enterprise reporting
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting/monitoring of existing processes
• Collaborate with business and team members to understand/document requirements 
• Documentation and/or meeting with partners to support NetJets initiatives
• Mentor team members and overseeing project delivery
• Continuous learning and curiosity toward process improvement initiatives

Bachelor's in Computer Science or Information Technology

• Development experience with at least one ETL tool; Informatica or Wherescape is preferred
• Has developed data integrations with Change Data Capture (CDC)
• Has experience utilizing a variety of sources for data ingestion (eg API, flat file, database)
• BI Focus:
• Development experience with at least one BI tool; Tableau or Business Objects is preferred
• Hands-on experience with creating dashboards and reports in an enterprise environment
• Understands various data visualization techniques
