As a successful Manufacturing Data Systems Engineer, you will support the lifecycle management of the manufacturing process data collection, management, and reporting infrastructure. You will use the process data historian system and its reporting functions, additional advanced analytical systems and alarming systems to ensure near real-time manufacturing process support of large-scale manufacturing facilities.

In detail, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with Automation and Data Engineers, Business SME's and Data Scientists to support the design and to develop manufacturing data products and services.
  • Promote the onboarding and maintenance of OSI PI Data Historian systems to support manufacturing areas and new projects.
  • Complete extract, transform, and load ("ETL") procedures from multiple data sources.
  • Enable the development of dimensional data models to support the BI application layer.
  • Use best practices for dashboard and data visualization to make important decisions to achieve our goal of advanced manufacturing.
  • Develop reports and maintain existing reports to support manufacturing, validation, QA, and engineering using OSI PI RtReports.
  • Data historian integration with control systems and MES.
  • System support and troubleshooting.

Furthermore, you have the following competencies:

  • Minimum a Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Sciences or similar.
  • 3+ years of practical experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including experience in manufacturing, engineering, or information systems.
  • OSIsoft Accredited User Learning Path and Power User Learning Path (desirable).
  • Experience in cGMPs and manufacturing operations in FDA regulated facility.
  • Experience with Spotfire, Tableau and Power BI, Visualization and Reporting (desirable).
  • Understanding of the OSI PI Historian Architecture and its key components. Experience in implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting of OSI PI Interfaces including OPC DA/UA, PI to PI, RDBMS and UFL. 
  • Knowledge of SCADA, PLC, Continuous/Batch Historians, MES systems and DCS-based control systems, including network topology concepts.
  • Knowledge of CSV, QMS, DMS and regulatory submission requirements.
  • Knowledge of SQL and general database concepts.
  • Proficient in project management principles and project lifecycle phases (execution).
  • Fluent in English
