SUMMARY:

Design and create graphics and art for the Billabong men’s pintables business, particularly speed to market programs, as well contribute to overall art direction for the pintables categories.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute graphics and art in line with the vision for Billabong men’s brand and creative direction.
  • Deliver product / design that executes on the line architecture, channel and segmentation strategies for the pintables category
  • Work with the NA product team to ensure regional alignment across categories, while capitalizing on key market trends to identify new / brand right opportunities.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of market, trends, innovation, competition, and product
  • Ensure graphics and art are aligned with the broader product development calendar as well as Speed to Market expectations and SLA’s
  • Manage time and action calendar for assigned categories to meet all deadlines.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree - commercial art / graphic design / industrial design
  • Experience in art / graphic leadership roles
  • Ability to create and implement brand right / consumer relevant art and graphics
  • Ability to identify key marketplace trends and opportunities that are consistent with brand values and design aesthetic
  • Knowledge of product development process / calendar / timelines
  • Be able to proactively develop relationships with key artists and tastemakers
  • Must be able to multitask and work in fast paced environment
  • Must be proactive with a solution / result-oriented attitude
  • Must have excellent communication and follow through skills
  • Must be highly organized and detailed oriented
  • Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with PLM
