SUMMARY:
The Digital Agency Designer is a digital production designer who is assigned to a particular brand within our portfolio, responsible for the design and versioning of content that expands the growth of our eCommerce business. The Digital Agency Designer reports directly to the Digital Design Director and is directly connected to the brand they are working on for a seamless consumer experience. The ideal candidate thinks digital-first design and has strong web and eCommerce design experience as well as user interface design skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the production designer for the expansion of content for all online touchpoints, designing channel specific versions and adaptations of brand lead creative
- Extends digital campaigns developed by the brand to multiple new points of distribution including digital advertising, email, social media and other digital formats
- Creates visual concepts and online solutions for a variety of eCommerce scenarios, including home pages, line pages, category pages, shopping tools, interactive content, etc. to help achieve commercial goals
- Designer will be required to work quickly, with fast turnaround times for digital assets that are needed to take advantage of fast-moving business opportunities
- Designer will also support larger scale projects to enhance the consumer experience across all digital channels
- Supports Digital Production Agency Design team during periods of excess workload, working across all company brands
- May be assigned other tasks and duties outside of job description on an as needed basis to support the business
- Ensures that all collateral complies with Brand Standards and Brand Voice
- Reports up to eCommerce and works closely with Brand Marketing teams to ensure web presence has a consistent creative direction
- Document functionality and design specs
- Apply key learnings from analytics, insights and usability studies to website and other digital channel design
- Partner with engineering team and provide necessary specs to achieve desired results
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
- 3+ years of related professional experience
- BA/BS degree in Graphic Designer, Marketing/Advertising, Online Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field
- An outstanding track record in designing best in class digital assets
- Strong team orientation and progressive thinking required
- Passion for action sports lifestyle is a plus
- Ability to design multiple concepts with different looks for the same project
- Ability to optimize content based on suppled performance insights
- A firm grounding in design principles, an understanding of information design and hierarchies as well as experience and understanding of typography and design theory
- Expertise in a broad range of disciplines (web design, digital advertising, email marketing, social media marketing and video editing)
- 2+ years working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Proficiency in video editing a must
- Must possess effective communication and teamwork skills
- Must have good presentation skills with the ability to articulate the strategy behind design concepts and how those concepts meet the strategic objectives
- Possess strong conceptual/verbal skills
- Have experience managing and estimate personal time outlays with each project
- Requires advanced skill and experience in visual design and awareness of current technologies
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on XD, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign, and illustrator.
- Possess a strong design portfolio in website design
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-orientated environment
