What You'll Be Doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Global Operations Technology Team (GOW). As a Senior Application Developer, you’ll assist in developing, testing and supporting the implementation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. Within a team of senior team members, you’ll broaden your technical skills and help build the bank of the future.
How You'll Succeed
- Programming Skills: Develop code and test computer programs for straightforward assignments. Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, and debugging.
- Systems Implementation: Participate in the technical design, development, and integration of cross functional, multi-platform application systems.
- Planning and Coordination: Effectively interact with stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications as instructed by senior team members.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate experience 6 years’ practical software development experience utilizing Java (J2EE) with strong knowledge of Restful API, Spring and JAX-RS. This role requires effective solution and design expertise needed to solve complex problems. Ideally, you are the one with:
- Strong experience in database management preferably Oracle;
- Must have experience in Web Services, SOAP and REST, JMS, MQ;
- Must have experience in ORMs like iBatis, or hibernate;
- Ability to dig down independently;
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, applications and systems;
- High performance, complex/distributed system design and development;
- Financial services experience is nice to have;
- Experience with CI/CD is also preferred.
