Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Manager PTE you will join CIBC’s Personal and Small Business technology department and be responsible for managing both people and projects/programs.
How You’ll Succeed
- Strategic Development & Execution: Oversee the development of team’s RoadMap to deliver on strategic initiatives, testing and implementation of multiple, complex, organization-wide systems. Define and manage resource requirements and allocations, monitor and improve quality, and ensure 'best practice' techniques. Identify and verify Key Performance indicators (KPI) before determining an appropriate resolution. Make recommendations regarding the ongoing viability of a project plan based on ability to deliver upon agreed functionality within approved budget and schedule for medium to large complex projects.
- Relationship Management: Work with client departments in development, testing and implementation of application programs having impact on improving the business by advising application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements.
- Strong Leadership: Be a bold and authentic leader who is passionate about developing and coaching to bring out the best in people. Support and mentor team members through knowledge sharing, collaboration and effective problem solving.
- Self Initiator: you don’t wait for instructions. Engage stakeholders through direct conversations, meeting, provide mitigation to problems, positive attitude.
- Presentation Skills: you have proven experience in preparing executive format slides, walkthroughs, articulate your findings to get approval from snr management.
- Team Work: you have proven experience in leading by example. You show how things can be done by rolling up the sleeves and setting examples for others.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate experience in: Leading a technology team, executing on projects and delivering results; managing relationships with executives in technology and business groups, and have proven experience presenting to senior management. It is an advantage if you have experience within an Agile environment.
- You have strong knowledge of: Quality Assurance (Performance Testing). Test tools such as Jmeter, Load Runner Cloud SaaS, monitoring tools such as Dynatrace. . You have experience writing test scripts, developing test plans, and end to end testing documentation.
- You have strong knowledge of: preparing strategies for cloud migrations, make decision on monitoring and load tools, show pros and cons for different paths to approach, engage and make recommendations to vendors.
