The Opportunity 

Under the general supervision of the Senior Copywriter or Director of Digital/Brand Creative, the On call Copywriter writes copy that informs and engages the customer in ways that reflect and reinforce HSN’s brand

Who we are 

We work in conjunction with Customer Service, Quality Assurance, Legal, Merchandise Division, eMarketing, Live Show and other internal teams to create final written product descriptions that serve the customer, reflect the HSN brand, drive buying behavior, have accurate information, and meet required FTC compliances.

Your Impact

  • Proven ability to write clear, concise, clever, strategic and customer-focused copy for digital and print marketing.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with a confident command of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for consistency.
  • Understanding of best practices for digital media and promotional copywriting.
  • Experience collaborating with Art Directors/Graphic Designers. Idea person and problem solver with the ability to balance business and creative needs.
  • Ability to comprehend complicated systems and work in a technical, dynamic workplace.
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook, as well as proprietary software. Exceptional interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Superior job management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with ever-changing priorities and demands.
  • Motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and team mentality.

What You Bring 

  • In order to be considered, candidates must include professional writing samples
  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, or related field required.
  • 4 years post-educational corporate, agency or relevant copy experience
