The Senior Business Analyst is responsible to identify, implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Project Management Office and to work with the project delivery team to address issues when KPIs are not met; the Senior Business Analyst will work closely with the PMO managers to implement the reporting they need to effectively manage the PMO team and have standard metrics to measure project results. As TELUS International continues to grow, we are expanding our global alignment across our geographies and complexity in projects we are managing, we are seeking a high-performing, agile, analytical and motivated Senior Business Analyst to bring our PMO to the next level by focusing on improved metrics, meaningful reporting and efficient PMO management processes.

You are detail oriented with a solid foundation in process development, enforcement & control, business process improvement, life cycle development and analytical skills. You appreciate the value of good planning and will work tirelessly to support leadership and the PMO to ensure shifting conditions and information can easily be managed and optimized. You have the ability to transform business requirements into reality through tool customization, reporting, analytics and process development.

Main Responsibilities:

Use your talent to translate raw information into actionable strategies and initiatives to transform ideas into realities, Maximize project team performance by creating and maintaining PMO reporting dashboards and metrics and utilizing this reporting for efficiency initiatives.

Analyze and solve business problems by developing insightful and practical solutions to complex and/or broad challenges / opportunities.

Identify efficiency initiatives to shorten implementation timelines. Define problems/opportunities and perform benefit analysis for our projects. Perform functioning analysis on projects, highlighting alternatives and recommending appropriate solutions.

Engage with various key partners – across TI teams to design the best solutions to the top challenges faced.

Develop robust change management and communication plans for projects methodology changes as appropriate that support stakeholder buy in and delivery of bottom line results.

Ensure PMO knowledge base, templates and documents, etc.. are up to date and maintained. Be unsatisfied with the status-quo and constantly be on the lookout for industry best practices, technology trends, and customer experience. Support project managers on complex projects.

Set up action plans, track and facilitate improvement opportunities, maintain resource tracking and ensure the team is right staffed.

Review process/project activities and identify anomalies or opportunities to gain efficiencies or enhance risk mitigation during project life cycle.

Ensure that our projects meet superior quality standards through different methodology and their associated best practices: Agile, Waterfall, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.

Skills & Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both business and technical situations and the ability to speak the language of many different audiences

Proven problem-solving, strategic, and analytical capabilities with a convincing track record of setting and delivering against key metrics

Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills

Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently

Ability to interact with all levels of the organization

Self Starter, beginning projects independently and working without supervision

Schedule flexibility

Knowledge:

English - B2

Oral and written comprehension.

Appropriate use of language 

Understand change management principles and leverage strategic communication plans to achieve buy-in 

Excellent stakeholder management and engaging them in our governance and prioritization process

MS Office (MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Project, Visio) - Advanced

Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Drive, Hangouts, etc.) - extensive knowledge of spreadsheet formulas, macros, add-on features, etc.

Reporting and Analytical tools (ex. Tableau, Sisense, Google Datastudio)

MS Project familiarity

Must have extensive knowledge in business requirements gathering, process definition and implementation and change management

Studies & Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a BA or experience in Reporting and Data Analysis. Required
  • Business Analyst Certification - desirable
  • Experience in Knowledge Management - desirable
  • Experience in the Contact Center / BPO / IT industry desirable
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Statistics / Information Technology / Management or other relevant fields - desirable
