Position Summary:

At FCB Chicago, the Associate Copywriter is a junior position which supports the senior copy and creative staff with proofreading, writing/rewriting small projects and general project organization. This position is designed to give an individual with basic creative writing skills the opportunity to develop their creative copywriting and conceptual skills to apply to real direct marketing, advertising and promotional strategies. Under the supervision of the Senior Copywriter and/or Associate Creative Director, the Associate Copywriter is required to work on several projects at any given time and at various levels.

Responsibilities:

• Proofread manuscripts and mechanicals as needed for senior copy and creative staff
• Create copy under direction and supervision of senior copy staff
• Assist senior creative staff in management of projects within the department

Requirements:

• 0+ years of relevant experience
• Accomplished proofreading skills for heavy text applications
• Computer proficiency in MS Word
• Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience required
