In this role as an Senior Manager, Finance/transformation/ Regulatory Remediation you will contributes to the overall success Finance is an important contribution from the Transformation / Regulatory Remediation team in the United States / US / NYC / globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders in assessing and incorporating changes needed driven by business, market and industry regulatory remediation efforts.
- Define and escalate key risks and assist in addressing mitigation efforts. Ensure key accountable parties address and report key metrics.
- Define key milestones and deliverables across Finance Transformation for all US entities (CUSO)
- Support the remediation of in Finance strategy transforming efforts Support for Regulatory Remediation to support the independent monitor, MoU and 4m agreement.
- Support Transformation regulatory remediation to remediate findings from regulators which require enhanced processes and procedures.
- Work alongside Finance Management and key internal stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with the Regulatory Reporting Target Operating Model.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

- Broad understanding of regulatory reporting
- Strong accounting and internal control
- Strong leadership skills with proven record of implementing change
- Excellent communication skills and abilities
- General understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for financial institutions.
Do you have the skills you need to succeed? We'd Love to work with you if you have:
- 15+ years of Banking experience with Capital Markets product knowledge
- Accounting/Finance degree
- Regulatory Remediation experience interacting with regulators and senior management
- Understanding of Finance and associated controls in capital markets
- Regulatory Reporting/Financial Reporting or audit experience a plus
