The Opportunity

As part of the DevOps Transformation at Qurate Retail Group, you will have the opportunity to lead one of the DevOps Engineering teams focused towards building a Global Continuous Delivery Pipeline across the globe supporting various technology stacks and a Global Container Orchestration platform in a hybrid environment.

Your Impact

In our continuous effort to building a world-class technology organization to support the QVC commerce platforms, you will build and lead our DevOps team that encompasses Project Management, Release Management, and Continuous improvement functions. This is an exciting role for individuals who seek challenges in a very dynamic and fast paced environment. You will have direct impact on how we enable the business team to compete in an ever-changing retail landscape. The DevOps team will build the tools and automate the processes that will enable business agility, speed to market, and deliver technology solutions with excellence.

What you will do

  • Build and lead the DevOps organization comprising of global continuous delivery pipeline across various technical stacks and global container orchestration platforms
  • Design, Develop and Implement continuous improvement processes through automation
  • Design and direct all aspects of Continuous Delivery implementation on Qurate software applications.
  • Define and implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concept into operations
  • Develop financial and people resource plans for the area, ensuring resources are in place and operating effectively within the technical discipline.
  • Communicate highly technical information effectively to business partners and junior team members.
  • Negotiate technical terms, conditions and SLAs with external vendors.

What You Bring

  • Typical candidates will possess 8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Advanced degree highly desirable.
  • 3-5 years of experience in leading a DevOps organization, enabling a large scale enterprise environment, or managing application development, software delivery lifecycle, and/or infrastructure development and administration
  • 3 years’ design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with continuous integration, and continuous deployment capabilities using tools like Jenkins, Spinnaker, BitBucket, SonarQube, Ansible, Artifactory, Service Now, Selenium, Appium, Docker, Jmeter, RestAssured
  • Experience standing up and managing Kubernetes Container Orchestration platform in a hybrid environment
  • Experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Perl, Ruby, Bash, or Python , Terraform, Ansible
  • Experience in leading software development teams on Java, Spring, Angular development stack
