We are seeking an exceedingly talented and creative Principal Engineer to join our Bangalore R&D team. You have expertise in SaaS development with public cloud. You will grow the team by providing technical leadership. You are able to demonstrate hands-on ability. The candidate will report to the R&D Director.
About you:
- Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to present to and interact with key management and non-technical audiences
- Excellent conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to take ownership and manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Experience managing technical resources and leading a team; strong mentoring, coaching, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelors’ degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field, with 12-15 years of experience in software development.
- At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Cultivate our technology vision and engineering excellence.
- Act as a technology leader for the teams across different locations.
- Hands-on experience in designing and developing complex, scalable, fault- tolerant, high-performance SaaS applications.
- Experience in Software Engineering best practices and test-driven development.
- Experience in guiding and mentoring the team with best practices and standards to improve product quality and team efficiency.
- Experience & knowledge on test pyramid and CI/CD pipeline.
- Good understanding of serverless computing.
- Experience working in Agile development and knowledge of Scrum and Kanban.
These skills will be an added advantage:
- AWS services: Experience in providing the solution to various use case/ business problems using various AWS services to build enterprise level application.
- Knowledge of JavaScript & Advanced JavaScript concepts.
- Hands-on experience with js frameworks like React or Angular and building backend services with Node js/TypeScript.
- Knowledge of SQL and NOSQL databases.
- Proficient in one or more version control software platforms such as Git.
- Past work experience in product development companies.
