Job Description:
- Drive the quality and reliability of Broadcom’s Silicon Photonics products.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure products are designed for quality and reliability.
- Manage on time reliability qualification of silicon photonics devices, transceivers, and related products. Generate qualification plans that meet customer and Broadcom requirements. Deliver qualification reports and obtain customer approvals.
- Drive failure analysis investigations to closure both internally and at the customers. Coordinate root cause identification, corrective actions and preventive actions across all functions.
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure smooth product transfer, and ramp-to-volume with no quality or reliability issues.
- Ensure best practices for Product/Process Qualifications and Product/Process Changes are followed and are adequate to protect the customer.
- Assist in preparation and hosting of customer visits and audits.
- Provide regular quality updates and reports.
- Masters or PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent.
- 5+ years relevant experience in the quality and reliability of silicon photonics, semiconductor lasers, photodiodes, fiber optic products, wafer fabrication, IC packaging, or related fields.
- Previous customer facing experience.
- Experience with semiconductor reliability, testing, and characterization.
- Strong knowledge of reliability and statistical analysis, and failure analysis techniques.
- Experience with wafer fab quality systems and procedures, including internal and external audits, SPC, process, product, and tool qualifications
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Travel 20% of the time
