Job Summary:

We are currently seeking aPrincipal Systems Requirements & Architecture Engineer to join the Multi-Function Radio Frequency System (MFRFS) Systems Engineering team in McKinney, TX.

The Principal Systems Requirements & Architecture Engineer will support the MFRFS Product Line. As Principal Systems Requirements & Architecture Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the execution of the requirements development, design, build, integration and test activities, problem resolution and product verification.
  • Ensuring the integrity of all engineering products, such as system plans and specifications, requirements allocation products, system architecture, design analyses, interface descriptions, software products and verification products.
  • Integrating across functional boundaries (Software, Systems, Hardware, Test Engineering and Operations) to resolve issues and ensure an optimal system design approach.
  • Leading trade study activities in an effort to ensure our designs are meeting maximum performance and cost goals.

The ability to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance is required*.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in related systems engineering
  • Proficient with requirements decomposition, flow down and verification
  • Background and knowledge of electrical, mechanical, RF, and/or system level requirements
  • Can work effectively in both independent and team environments
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication capability, and ability to work in an integrated product team environment
  • Demonstrated problem solving, organization, coordination, and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills to enable effective personal interaction and collaboration with a multi-discipline team
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within 1 year of start date; Active Secret Clearance preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within 1 year of start date. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Active Secret Clearance is preferred.

Required Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in a related STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in developing systems Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Electrical Interface Document (EICD)
  • Knowledge of environmental test methods and practices
  • Ability to collaborate with other disciplines, such as Hardware, Software, and Test Equipment teams to ensure designs are consistent
  • Experience in designing and analysis of electrical circuits, analog, digital and RF
  • Proficient in Matlab, C++, Python, Labview or related programming languages
  • Proficient with standard industry tools like DOORS, Visio, Mentor Graphics, Autocad and/or Test Stand
  • Technical publications and/or patents

Desired Education:

Advanced degrees in a related STEM discipline
