This role will be responsible for ensuring the venture (part of X15 Ventures) delivers consistently great experiences at every touch point – helping to create a growing base of customer advocates. Reporting to the venture CEO, as the Head of Operations, will help to drive impactful improvements to product, systems and service delivery with your operational insights. 

Do work that matters

You will effectively manage all operational aspects including back, middle and front office services, custody of platform assets, business support services and all reporting along with managing the businesses data.

Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Establish day 1 operational processes that will enable the new venture’s successful launch
  • Leverage data and reporting to maintain a high level of service quality and identify areas for improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and service bots – and work with Product and Engineering to implement
  • Ensure each key process is serviced by the optimal mix of team members and/or specialist suppliers
  • Manage regulatory, compliance and contractual obligations while helping the business to reduce its overall risk exposure
  • Ensure customer complaints and issues are appropriately logged and resolved within SLAs
  • Ensure out-of-band enquiries and credit decisions are escalated to the Risk team
  • Ensure all services are centrally managed and reported in our business systems for quality assurance and auditing; and co-develop effective risk controls where warranted

We’re interested in hearing from people who possess:

  • Experience in relevant problem-free experience in a customer-facing or operational credit role
  • Technical and operational expertise in residential mortgage lending
  • Creative and data-oriented problem solver.
  • Effectively work with other senior leaders to shape strategy and drive improvement across Product, Design, Technology and Risk.
  • Credit industry qualifications to at least the Cert 4 level.
  • Risk Mindset –All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
