This opening is for an Electrical Engineer II in El Segundo, CA. This position is in the Microelectronic Circuits Department of the Electronics Center within Raytheon Intelligence & Space business. The person hired will be responsible for performing the designs of RF portions of MMIC SoC design and testing. The work is focused on CMOS and SiGe HBT IC design and thus requires solid understanding of analog and digital circuits that also reside on chips. The candidate is expected to be an advocate for rigorous and systematic processes that follow the entire product life cycle ranging from design, fabrication, test and reliability.

Required Skills:

Design, integration, and test of Integrated Circuits for Raytheon Intelligence & Space as evidenced by at least 6+ years of experience post BSEE in one or more of those disciplines.

Skilled in the use of CAD tools such as KeySight ADS for microwave circuit simulation, Sonnet for 2.5D electromagnetic simulation, Ansoft HFSS for 3D electromagnetic simulations, and Cadence Virtuoso for IC layout

Experience designing amplifiers, phase shifters, attenuators, and passive coupling components

Ability to lead a multi-disciplined design team including analog and digital designers

Experience with micro/millimeter-wave testing in the laboratory

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:

Experience with designing frequency converters and voltage controlled oscillators

Understanding on how to flow specifications for and validate non-RF circuits

Familiarity with 3D integrated circuit high density interconnect techniques

Familiar with wafer probe station operation

Ability to work with department leadership team to develop and manage technology roadmaps in support of future technologies and R&D pursuits

Ability to provide technical, cost, and schedule data in support of proposals

Capable of functioning in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects

Education:

Minimum Degree BSEE or similar technical degree required; MS/PHD preferred

BS and 6 years of experience of experience, MS and 4 years of experience of experience, PhD and 2 years of experience

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
