Raytheon Technologies Intelligence and Space (RI&S) has an exciting opportunity for a Web Software Developer in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate supports a team of database and software developers that design, develop, test, tune, implement, and maintain a United States Army web-based application. The candidate interacts with users to define information system requirements, and may assist with database design, table creation and T-SQL functions, procedures and indexes.

The candidate gathers and reviews customer requirements, creates detailed designs, develops new (modifies existing) software to meet requirements and business rules, furthermore, the candidate must be able to perform testing in accordance with project guidelines and processes. The candidate assists with writing formal test procedures, updating training materials, and interacts professionally with developer peers and user base.

The desired candidate is a self-starter, able to operate with minimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops web-based solutions using Microsoft Visual Studio
• Develops a SQL Server database and makes design modifications as needed
• Debugs problems in Internet Information Systems (IIS)
• Ensures consistent level of quality in the design and implementation of software solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Experience developing web-based solutions using Microsoft Visual Studio
• Experience applying Object Oriented Analysis and Design principals
• Experience with development patterns and technologies to include: Object Relational Mapping (ORM)/Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XML
• Possess Army 8570 Baseline Certification IAT-II
• Experience with SQL Server queries using T-SQL and capable of designing normalized databases
• C# .NET WebAPI, WebForms, and entity framework
• Knowledge of Windows networking and Windows Web Server IIS management, and willingness to assist with debugging cyber security issues
• Ability to gather, document, and track requirements
• Ability to plan sprints using agile methodology
• Experience with Telerik and Telerik controls

Desired Qualifications:

• Comfortable with C++ programming in a Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
• Experience working on a highly networked enterprise application
• Knowledge of efficient data transport over Wide Area Networks
• Understanding of and experience with secure programming techniques

Required Education:

• Applicants must have a minimum of a BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar degree field, or equivalent experience

This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
