The RVS Systems Engineering organization is seeking a talented and experienced engineer to join our team. The Systems Engineer Integrated Product Team Lead plans and manages the engineering activities and associated budgets, drives engineering execution, leads proposal and change management activities for engineering and acts as a bid manager for proposals within engineering. The Systems Engineering Department is responsible for all Electro-Optic Imaging Systems Definition, Architecture, Integration, product Verification & Validation along with program and project technical execution to cost and schedule.
These activities typically include:
- Actively run and manage multi-discipline engineering teams focused on program execution
- Coordinate and compile Engineering inputs for proposals and present bid summaries to management
- Actively manage engineering risks and opportunities and ensure R&O Register is kept up to date
- Manage Engineering team budgets and report on Earned Value (EV) metrics
- Co-develop program Integrated Master Schedule with Program Office and Technical Team to ensure all SOW items are addressed
- Coordinate Engineering Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews and Pre-Ship Reviews
- Provide technical support to production activities
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, OR minimum of 8 years with a Master's degree, OR Minimum of 4 years of related experience with a PhD in related technical field
- Proficient in MS Project and core MS Office software
- Hands on experience in work scope definition and bidding proposals
- Proficient in Earned Value Management
- Experience related to infrared systems and technologies
- Ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with others
- Ability to multi-task in a rapid paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated team leadership skills
- Clearance required within 1st year AND role requires access to US only data
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
