Raytheon Technologies Missiles & Defense has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to support the X-Band Radar (XBR) on the SBX-1 Platform. The Systems Engineer work with radar theory of operation and software analysis tools. Provide services in diagnosing and repairing failed system hardware in a time sensitive environment, in order to return the radar to operational status in support of the Government customer mission.
Perform data analysis from daily radar tests and perform the post mission quick look analysis for system tests. Provide the systems engineering support necessary to complete the installation, test and evaluation of the XBR operational software delivered into the GMD system and future software builds.
Perform analysis of regression test of the radar software. Ensuring that the test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware. Analyzing regression testing and daily operational testing using both Digital Simulation (DIGISIM), Analog Simulation (ANASIM), and live operations. Provide the expertise to collect, reduce, and analyze the data collected.
Work Environment: Ability to live and work with others in close quarters for long durations at sea. Will deploy approximately 8-12 weeks at a time alternating with several weeks off on a rotational basis. Exposure to heights will be required when being transported on and off the vessel and the ideal candidate will not be hindered by motion sickness. Position is a hands-on and will require stair climbing, lifting, and occasionally working at heights with fall protection equipment.
This position is required to possess and maintain a government issued Secret Security Clearance, and also successfully pass an annual mariner physical examination.
