The Tucson, AZ, facility is searching for several Radar Signal Processing Engineers to join a growing team of engineering professionals who share a mission of protecting our war fighters and allies.

The System Design & Performance (SD&P) Directorate is responsible for Signal Processing (SP), Systems Design (SD), Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC), and Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MSA) for our missile related broad portfolio of projects, programs and products. Signal Processing has the responsibility to design and develop Radar and Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) models and algorithms, conduct system trades/sensitivity analyses and conduct performance assessments to support missile products and new business initiatives.Our teams’ engineers are versatile, eager to learn, innovative, and self-motivated. Job Description and Key Tasks:

Working in detailed high fidelity simulations written in C/C++ and MATLAB to develop, prototype, and test radar signal processing algorithms and sensor modelsConducting performance trade-off and sensitivity analysis for missile radar applicationsWorking in production and engineering lab test environments and field test environments to test, verify, and validate radar sensor models and signal processing algorithm requirements and performanceWorking in a team environment in all phases of missile development from program start up to live fire test, to provide engineering support by participating in project design reviews and peer reviews, including technical briefings to internal leadership and external customers

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math or related STEM degree ( A Master’s Degree will satisfy the below work requirements)
  • Two (2) years of experience programming in a compiled language such as C++ (preferred), C, Java, or Python
  • Two (2) years of applied work experience using tools such as MATLAB or Python for analysis of data sets
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Must be willing to relocate to Tucson, AZ (relocation package available)
  • Desired Education, Skills and Experience:
  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
  • Experience with signal processing techniques
  • Experience with running and modifying simulations and performing analysis
  • Experience with radar sensor and environment models
  • Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations
  • Experience with hardware/software integration
  • Ability to develop and present technical briefings
  • Ability to work well in teams and independently
  • Good communication, interpersonal, planning and time management skills
  • Coursework or experience in some of the following fields: radar signal processing, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, and signals & systems
  • Current/Active DoD clearance or SSBI
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
