SWIFT has an immediate opening for a senior systems engineer/integrator to join a team of top system engineers in the company and work with the best. This is a fulltime position located in the Dulles, VA area with some OCONUS travel a few times a year. The specific details are below.
Required Skills:
- Ten plus years of experience in systems engineering;
- Experience installing, configuring Cisco/Juniper routers and LINUX Red Hat Servers;
- Experience doing pack-out support to include, but not limited to:
- Retrieving and collocating all equipment per TDY requirements;
- Packing and loading all equipment/racks per Raytheon/customer logistics requirements;
- Experience installing newly acquired hardware into rack enclosures;
- Experience completing cable runs (electrical, ethernet, fiber, ground, serial) and running, terminating and connecting CAT5 / Fiber infrastructure cables;
- Experience performing acceptance testing efforts once integration is complete; verifying cable connections, optical power levels, etc.;
- Decommissioning obsolete/retired/faulty equipment from existing infrastructure;
- Assisting with the resolution of all discrepancy reports (DRs) for the various systems/sub-systems;
- Provide customer teams with active feedback with regards to installation best practices and tool choices;
- Current TS/SCI w/polygraph within last five (5) years.
Desired Skills:
- Understanding power, cooling and space planning;
- Signal Processing experience.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and ten years of experience. Experience may be substituted for education.
