Who we are

BBN Technologies is seeking a theorist in the area of quantum tomography and quantum algorithms. Qualified candidates must have a strong background in quantum information processing, specifically with quantum circuits and quantum tomographic protocols. The candidate must have knowledge and experience with Noisy Intermediate Scale Quantum (NISQ) era protocols and algorithms. Prior experience working with experimentalists is a plus. The candidate will join a highly collaborative and close-knit group comprising theorists and experimentalists working on quantum computation and engineering.

What will you do?

• Work on quantum tomography, quantum algorithms and NISQ era devices.
• Work collaboratively within small experienced teams and with academic partners
• Work collaboratively with experimental scientists in designing and analyzing QC experiments
• Present accomplishments and concepts to teammates, sponsors, and conference audiences

What you will need

• Advanced degree in Physics, Engineering, or similar and 2-years experience in quantum information and quantum computing
• Research experience in quantum algorithms and quantum circuits
• High-impact publications and talks at leading conferences
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Other skills that would be awesome!:

• Programming experience with Python, Julia, Matlab, and/or C/C++ is desirabl
