We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support program area responsibilities. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for taking customer requirements for new hardware and software systems that support the mission and developing the complete design and architecture of the new backend hardware information solution. The person in this role will support engineering design and customer technical reviews.

Clearance Requirements:

Must be a U.S. CITIZEN with an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

Hires with an Active TS/SCI or higher clearances are eligible for sign-on bonuses of "up to" $40,000.00

Requires the aptitude to:

• Apply previous systems engineering and design development experience
• Knowledge of other related engineering disciplines
• Follow and write tech manuals and procedures
• Work independently without appreciable direction
• Guide the successful completion of major programs and Software releases
• Interact with Lead System, Software Team, and Product owner on issues found during release testing

Required Skills:

• COTS system design experience in Networking, Compute and Storage Capacity planning
• Knowledge of/or experience with Systems Engineering technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts
• Design experience using Virtualization (ESXi, Vmware, Linux, etc.)/Datacenter design
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to produce deliverable products
• Experience with web service communication of RESTful services running in a Linux infrastructure
• Ability to the identify, manage, and mitigate technical risk
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools, particularly Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of the following systems engineering functions:
• system design and architecture
• software interface definition and control
• software integration and test

Desired Skills:

• Experience with web service communication of RESTful services running in a Linux infrastructure
• In-depth knowledge of Service-based frameworks for third party application development
• Experience developing, deploying and maintaining a DevOps systems in a private cloud (similar to AWS Cloud Services) for multi-tenant cloud-based ISP/ASP architectures
• Platform Migration experience
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle models (Agile) and program lifecycle modes
• SW development experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, C++, Python
• Experience developing software or test using the following technologies, Artifactory, bitbucket, Gradle, git

Required Education:

8 years' of relevant experience with a BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math; or 6 years' of relevant experience with a MS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math
