Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) is looking for an RF Sensor and Scene Modeling Technologist to provide a systems approach to the design and development of novel engineering test environments used to ensure the performance capability of RMD products.
RMD, a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, security and civilian markets is seeking an experienced RF Sensor and Scene Modeling Fellow for the Advanced Test Systems Engineering Center (ATSEC), an organization with 550+ employees and over $250M+/year of delivered products. This organization employs the latest RF hardware systems engineering competencies within Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) and Computer-in-the-Loop (CIL) environments, to grow and sustain engineering test activities, making tests affordable, credible, agile and robust, and helping to deliver to our customers the highest quality with the greatest confidence in our products.
The candidate will be responsible for leading and shaping the technology and model implementation of data streams representing the Scene stimulus and output of missile systems RF sensors. The selected candidate will also be expected to technically lead diverse teams, providing technical oversight and task delegation, and working with the Engineering organization in establishing technology roadmaps, modernization and general innovation vectors. In addition, candidate may work with customer Government(s) personnel and programs, defining testing requirements to verify that hardware being designed is compliant with requirements. Candidate will be responsible for providing guidance, coaching / mentoring and training to other employees across the business within area of expertise.
As an Engineering Fellow, it is expected that the candidate works across Product Lines and Business Units as critical needs dictate of the Enterprise. Additionally, a Fellow will seek out and establish apprenticeships to enable a teaching culture. In particular, they must have a demonstrated track record of RF phenomenology understanding and modeling, using modern computing, and validated by published papers and mentoring of apprentices and learners.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
