The Configuration and Data Management Directorate (CDM) is responsible for ensuring our products areunder configuration control and delivered on time. The directorate consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Disciplines in the directorate participate in the life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. The directorate is comprised of Hardware Configuration Management and Integrated Design Check (CM/IDC), Software Configuration Management (SWCM), and Data Management, Engineering Support and Execution (DEX)
The Software Configuration Management (SWCM) department follows the basic principles of Configuration Management. SWCM establishes and maintains integrity for all digital products throughout the entire life cycle. The Software Configuration Management Department provides innovative solutions through automation, continuous improvement and a skilled workforce providing support for all computing products including embedded software, firmware/configurable logic, test equipment, simulation, Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and tools (Digital Products).
The Software Configuration Management Engineer(SCME) plans, coordinates, and executes digital Configuration Management (CM) activities, including:
The successful applicant will work as a self-starter, team player, and excellent communicator. He or she will interact effectively with program personnel, and will possess a working knowledge of the digital development life-cycle and SEI CMMI / industry standards.
U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position needs a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
