This is your opportunity to join the AN/TPY-2 Radar software Team in Woburn, Massachusetts as a Software Integration Engineer. The ANTPY-2 Software Integration (SWIT) team’s prime mission is to integrate new capabilities into the mission software. The Missile Defense Radar Software Department’s mission is to provide world class Missile Defense and Surveillance Radar Software to be used in radar systems deployed on land and sea. Our software teams employ an AGILE Scrum process to rapidly design, code, and integrate capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers. Our radar software applications are developed using Ada, C and C++programming languages on Dell x86 servers with a customized version of RedHat Linux. Our continuous integration environment utilizes Jenkins and many tools written in Perl, Python and Shell scripting languages. We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon a diverse work force whose knowledge base covers the complete spectrum of modern computing languages and platforms.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance within one year of employment. This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or Salary Grade G09 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and requirements for the position.

Job Summary:

  • Integrate new software capabilities developed by multiple teams in an Agile Scrum development environment
  • Integrate test, find and fix defects, and implement smaller scope changes in the software
  • Ensure the radar software maintains all existing functionality and the new capabilities operate as designed.
  • Push forward the product line’s Continuous Integration activities, and provide software assurance through a variety of static and dynamic analysis tools.

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in all phases of software engineering
  • Experience with C, C++, Ada, or Java
  • Experience performing software integration
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math or related engineering/science discipline.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with the following SW Tools:, Jenkins, Matlab
  • Continuous Integration experience
  • Real-time software development experience
  • Software development experience in a DoD environment
  • ClearCase or equivalent configuration management tool experience
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Radar domain knowledge
  • Experience in an Agile/SCRUM development environment
