Raytheon Intelligence & Space is looking for an enthusiastic and highly capable software engineer with a recent track record of successfully developing sensor C2/tracking/operator display software based on MIT-Lincoln Lab’s Airborne Processor (ABP) and RTI DDS messaging to run on aircraft and ground stations. They will also support development and testing of Quick Response Contracts (QRC) and production systems for Electro-optical (EO) missile defense missions. This role will support both ground-based and airborne ABP applications, as well as development of a community Common ABP framework.

- Significantly contribute to program and customer meetings and reviews
- Understand use-cases, system requirements, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification.
- Attend technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel, and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of his/her project.
- Provide status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks.
- Provide document review and resolves technical systems engineering and integration issues.
- Have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.
- Thrive in a rapid prototyping development environment with very little requirements definition and lightweight SE and SW process

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience with SW design, development and test.
- Hardware / software integration experience including Raytheon MTS control and image processing, and device controls (thermal, power, etc. typically found in airborne systems)
- Hands-on expertise with RHEL/CentOS, C/C++/C#/JAVA/RTI DDS, MIT-LLs RTCL, ROSA II and ABP
- Experience with Raytheon Pod C2 software baseline (developed in C#)
- Excellent communication skills. Team player incorporating a team-based success philosophy.
- Experience with Agile software development efforts
- Enthusiastic & resourceful performer able to work in a dynamic, high-visibility role.
- Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal oversight.

- Support frequent travel (including OCONUS) as required and working offsite on weekly or possibly multiple week basis. Remote work possible for this position.
- Experience supporting sensor systems for Navy or MDA live fire Ballistic Missile Tests, or similar test experience with other targets (UAS, Cruise Missile, Aircraft, etc)
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have an active Secret clearance or higher prior to start of employment
- Must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM degree from an accredited educational institution
Desired Skills:
- C# Development experience
- Experience with SNMP, Health and Status software systems
- Continuous Integration methodologies
- Experience performing low-level software optimization
- Git Configuration Management (or experience with other popular CM tool)
- Experience developing software within a CMMI level 3 or greater organization
- Experience in Astronomy, Physics or Remote-Sensing.
- Experience with Perl/Python/Unix scripting.
- Experience with airborne sensing systems, missile-defense systems, radar, navigation, tracking algorithms and performance assessment, pointing, radiometric calibration, or atmospheric correction.
- Experience with Mission-Planning, Laser System/Safety field testing.
- Experience with optical system testing on aircraft.
- Master’s degree or higher in a STEM field
Required Education (including Major):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM degree from an accredited educational institution
