Raytheon Intelligence and Space, located in Richardson, Texas (Cityline) is looking for a candidate to join our world-class engineering team as a SoftwareAutomated Test Engineer.

Job Description: The Software Automated Test Engineer will be a member of the software engineering organization and assigned to support a program primarily within the Command & Control, Space and Intelligence (CSI) mission area. The Software Automated Test Engineer candidate is expected to be experienced in the automation of scripts, test execution processes and procedures supporting the release of software deliveries. The selected candidate should also have a good foundation in scripting languages and testing applications. A demonstrable understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering should be within the experience scope of the candidate.

The selected candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance.

A bonus of "up to" $40,000.00 is available to hired applicants with an active TS/SCI, or higher clearance.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Apply software integration and verification test experience using test automation principles
  • Interact with systems engineering, the software team, and product owners on issues found during testing
  • Having experience with software integration, and/or verification and validation processes and procedures
  • Provide leadership and communicate testing status to the team
  • Mentor and foster technical and professional development of the team
  • Partner with managers and stakeholders to drive projects forward

Required Skills:

  • Active/Current TS/SCI clearance
  • 4 years of experience with specific software test automation tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Cucumber, JSON, or Cruise Control
  • 4 years of experience using scripting languages such as Ruby or Python
  • 6 years of experience with test automation development and execution as well as manual test cases
  • 6 years of experience with automated testing, build automation and dependency management tools
  • Ability to the identify, manage, and mitigate technical risks
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to produce deliverable products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in developing software test architecture and automation strategy

Desired Skills:

  • Experience developing and deploying distributed cloud-based applications
  • Development, inspection, and manipulation of XML, XSDs and WSDLs
  • Experience with Docker and cloud based deployments
  • Familiarity with a JavaScript framework such as DOJO, AngularJS, jQuery, or Backbone.js
  • Experience using task management tools such as JIRA Agile
  • Experience with applications interfacing with Postgres and Mongo databases
  • Experience shipping solutions at scale

Required Education (including Major):

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
