Come join our team in Westford, MA where we are currently searching for a Software Development Specialist to support the Hardware Solutions team with integration and sustainment activities across and for our Mission Systems business unit.

Job Description and Summary:

This position will be responsible for the system and tool administration for the PTC tool solutions. Responsibilities will include system enhancements and integrations with other software tools & databases. Candidate will support Engineering needs in a timely manner and work to improve the PLM-centric business processes across multiple sites. The team member will work with other team members to align processes and tool utilization across the Mission Systems organization.

Preferred skills or experience with any of the following:

  • 2-5 years of experience of PTC Windchill Development, with emphasis as PLM Windchill Solution Architect, project life-cycle management systems, product data management, and associated networking systems
  • Have supported an enterprise implementation experience with PLM Windchill
  • Technical/programming skills, e.g. Java, JavaScript, HTML, SQL and SGML/XML, J2EE
  • Ability to develop integrations of CAD tools into Windchill PLM solution
  • Ability to handle multiple activities including overseeing infrastructure design, system upgrades and customizations, workflow creation and working with a team to develop solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Experience with Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Debugging, Test, Implementation, and integration.
  • Experienced in use of PLM Windchill 11.x - Foundation, PDMLink, ProjectLink and Windchill APIs
  • Strong knowledge in Windchill Change Management, Document Management, Configuration Management
  • Experience in Part Management and BOM management is a plus
  • Strong knowledge on Windchill Type Management, Preferences, Business Rules, Workflow, OIR, versioning schemes and Access Control
  • Experience in integrating Windchill with ERP / MES
  • Knowledge and/or experience with SolidWorks and ePDM is a plus
  • Experience with product data architecture in PLM context
  • Experience in PLM Windchill Upgrades and bulk Data migration from other systems
  • Interface with external data sources.
  • Positive attitude and eager to learn and improve.
  • Cloud Based programming experience is a plus
  • Must also be willing and able to travel (domestic and international) (minimum 10% domestically)
  • Either possess, or be able to obtain, a security clearance.

Your diverse array of job responsibilities will include:

  • Senior developer with responsibilities to develop, support configuration, customizations of the Windchill solution set and upgrades for Windchill APIs
  • Design, test, implement, document and support technical application solutions for PTC products
  • Critically analyze functional specifications for options, feasibility and sustainability
  • Create/update system test cases; conduct unit & integration testing to ensure the defined functionality meets requirements.
  • Lead development and configuration of workflows in Windchill
  • Establishes and maintains effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Diligent Work ethic.
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work independently or within a team.
  • Interact with the end customer on technical issues.
  • Meet schedule deadlines and remain within budget.
  • Ability to interact with customers and correctly interpret their needs and requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
