The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. Over the course of the 14-week program, experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive coaching to guide their return to work experience. Upon completion of the program, based on performance and contributions participants will be eligible for a career at Raytheon Technologies.

The next cohort of the Re-Empower Program will run from September 21, 2020 – December 23, 2020.

Minimum Program Qualifications

To qualify for the Raytheon Technologies Re-Empower Program, candidates should:

Be on a career break of two or more years

Have prior experience in functional area of interest

Have interest in returning in either a full-time or part-time position

Software Engineer I/II

An opportunity exists within the Patriot Fielded Systems and Validation Department in Tewksbury, Massachusetts for a Software Configuration Management / Software Release Engineer. Patriot is the world's pre-eminent air defense system, and we are currently deploying Patriot tactical software to the US Army and our Foreign Military Sales (FMS) partners in support of new system capabilities. Successful candidates will work with a team of software and logistics engineers to develop, release and deploy tactical software. As a Software Engineer I/II, you will be an integral part of the Patriot Software Generation and Release team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Release the tactical software and supporting documentation to Product Data Management (PDM).
  • Generate copies of tactical software for deployment to the US Army and FMS partners.
  • Coordinate the deployment of tactical software to US and worldwide locations.
  • Work with the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to implement the Information Systems security requirements.
  • Maintain detail records of the media generated and its disposition.

U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

This position can be a Salary Grade G06 or G07based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or related field or equivalent combination of related experience and education (each two years of related experience can substitute for one year of education).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and knowledge of FileMaker Pro
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment

Desired Skills:

  • 1+ years applying the principles, theories, and concepts of Software Configuration Management
  • Sense of urgency; ability to meet challenging deadlines
  • Excellent file/records management and strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the following software tools: ClearCase, Product Data Management (PDM) or change management tools.
  • Strong people and change agent skills
  • General knowledge of Configuration Management principles, such as Document Management and Engineering Change Management
  • General knowledge of software and systems development processes
