Raytheon Technologies is looking for a Systems Engineer with expertise in signal processing. The position requires engineering skills that include knowledge of real time signal processing systems. The position also requires knowledge of cloud based solutions and the ability to create cloud-based solutions. The systems engineer will support a classified signal-processing program and will engage multiple organizations, internal and external to Raytheon, to develop and implement solutions. Join a small, highly-focused team working to develop and maintain signal-processing applications for use in real-time operational environment. Team members are multi-disciplined and contribute across all phases of systems engineering, software development, integration and test, and metrics. The team works closely with operations personnel to meet unique and continuously evolving development needs.

Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizens with a current /active TS/SCI clearance.

This position is eligible for a Sign on Bonus of up to $40k for a candidate with a current TS/SCI that can be verified and hired at Raytheon.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor degree and 2 years of engineering experience.
• Ability to design, implement, and document system enhancements
• Ability to design, implement, and document algorithms
• Understanding of communications techniques, including modulation schemes, frequency hopping, spread spectrum
• Understanding of stochastic analysis
• Understanding of digital signal processing (FFT, tuning, modulation/demodulation)
• Experience with real-time systems
• Red Hat OS
• Microsoft Office
• Experience with Agile and DevOps processes and business rhythms

Desired Skills:

• Experience in fields of signal processing, systems engineering, and architecture of real-time signal processing systems
• Understanding of software process lifecycle (including Concept of operations, requirements, system design/architecting, development, testing, delivery, and system maintenance)
• Experience with detailed technical analysis and computer simulation / modeling of sophisticated signal processing algorithms using MATLAB or similar tools
• Ability to estimate complexity of tasks and subtasks
• Object Oriented analysis and Object Oriented design skills
• C/C++
• Python
• Experience with Midas-based signal processing frameworks (e.g., X-Midas, Midas2K)
• Software architectures, frameworks, infrastructure experiences
• Software patterns

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or related STEM degree program from an Accredited University/School/College with 2+ years of relevant work experience
