The Intelligence and Space Mission Area Systems Engineering Team is looking experienced Systems Engineers to join program technical teams made up of Systems, Software and Test Engineers in accomplishing various engineering tasks in agile development environments. The candidates will perform systems engineering tasks including trade studies, interface definition, system architecture and design, requirements decomposition, User Stories as well as support system integration and verification. The candidates will also support planning/development activities by interfacing with personnel from other organizations, attend technical interchange meetings and working groups, and support the Engineering Change process by performing impact assessments. The candidates must have the ability to lead others effectively as well as manage his/her own time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.

Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizen with a current TS/SCI clearance

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years demonstrated engineering experience with proven track record
  • Experience supporting engineering teams in a multi-discipline environment
  • Understanding of software life cycle and development processes
  • Experience in one or more of the following system engineering areas: architecture development, operations concept development, system design, functional/requirements analysis, interface definition, or verification & validation
  • Proven ability to meet timelines
  • Knowledge of systems integration and test
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Senior level presentation skills
  • US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Domain experience in the Command and Control, Mission Planning and/or Flight Dynamics
  • Agile/DevOps development process experience
  • Experience as a Product Owner
  • Experience using JIRA
  • Experience using DOORS
  • Proposal generation and Basis Of Estimate (BOE) experience
  • EVM certification
  • Requirements management and elaboration experience.
  • Domain experience preferred

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or related STEM degree program from an Accredited University/School/College with 6+ years of relevant work experience

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
