Raytheon Technologies is looking for talented System Engineer to join our System Engineering team in Aurora, Colorado.

As a Senior System Engineer, you will lead and/or provide guidance to a team of engineers in the accomplishment of System Engineering tasks in an iterative development environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for developing system engineering artifacts and products as part of a large ground system, troubleshooting errors and work closely with other disciplines as part of an agile team
  • Lead and/or guide engineers in defining the future architecture roadmap for the program and deploying future capabilities
  • Fully engage in the interaction, planning and coordination with multiple discipline engineering teams on technical issues
  • Supports ECP efforts as required
  • Must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines

Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizen with a current TS/SCI clearance

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years demonstrated engineering leadership experience with proven track record.
  • Experience with satellite command and control
  • Experience with ground equipment command and control
  • Experience in systems engineering functions including: operations concept development, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control
  • Knowledge of system integration and system test
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Systems engineering experience on a large government software development contract.
  • Experience in requirements management
  • Experience in CONOPS / OPSCON development
  • Experience in integration, and/or verification and validation
  • Experience in technical risk management
  • Experience in architecture development of SW centric systems; Experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • Experience in SE process development and deployment
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Current, active TS SCI clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Operations including: procedure development, training, transition planning, installation, and deployment
  • Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations
  • Experience in an Agile development environment
  • Domain experience preferred

Education Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or related STEM degree program from an Accredited University/School/College with 10+ years of relevant work experience

This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
