Manager, Accounting (IFRS)

Job Scope:

Be a part of accounting team and work with seniors for the implementation of IFRS16

Principle Accountabilities

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions such as general ledger, group reporting and HFM reporting, IFRS 16 reporting
• Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
• Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
• Work with senior for the implementation of IFRS16 and related system
• On daily basis perform different analysis on financial information
• Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.
• Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Supports budget and forecasting activities.
• Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Required qualifications & experience:

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a MNC
• CPA, ACCA, CIMA or MBA-Finance
• Experience in handling leases under IFRS16 is a plus
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct and supervise
• Good communication skill

Language requirement: Myanmar, English
