Job Description
1. Manage the ex China to ASEAN line haul network for Cainiao (including air freight, ocean freight, or trucking) for assigned lanes, responsible for cost and leading time.
2. Develop new ocean freight line haul solution based on the need of e-commerce platform, new offering from market, internal pain points, cost & leading time analysis; All initiatives aim to drive down line haul cost or leading time ultimately.
3. Regularly monitor line haul performance on cost and leading time, identify & present problem by using underlying operation parameters (e.g cargo commodity group, volumetric ratio, physical port, export/import clearance process or milestone data); Based on this, develop improvement plan.
4. Act as project manager of logistics projects. Carry on the project from initiative concept development, proof of concept, cost & benefit analysis, implementation kick off until pro-go live review, lead a virtual team to execute the project until go live and handover to operation team.
5. Ensure effective communication and knowledge transfer among different stakeholder(s), including operation(s), IT Product(s), ASEAN destination team(s) and logistics service provider(s);
Job requirements
1. Degree holder, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, Operations Research, Information Management or Project Management related discipline;
2. Minimum 6 years working experience in ocean freight operation and 3PL management experience, operational P/L management experience is required. Also, B2C experience is preferred
3. Solid knowledge in B2C export regulation from China; B2C import regulation knowledge in Philippine/Thailand/Vietnam/Singapore/Indonesia/Malaysia will be a great plus.
4. Solid understanding of project management with proven successful experience in managing multiple logistics project(s).
5. Excellent communication skills with diversified functional and ASEAN team(s) over online communication in multiple languages.
6. Fluent English; proficient in Mandarin is a must
