The Senior Group Marketing Manager represents the voice of the customer across Zulily, driving brand strategy and positioning. This role is responsible for monitoring brand health and using customer insights to create and manage brand marketing programs that drive awareness, consideration and loyalty. 

What you'll do:

  • Provide strategic oversight across the organization to ensure the Brand strategy and values are being executed across channels/segments
  • Ensure roadmaps across teams align and support overarching goals of organization and business
  • Effectively brief and lead creative teams to develop compelling creative and marketing assets.
  • Conduct thorough audience, culture, company and competitor research, developing pointed insights that drive highly effective and measurable campaigns and creative outputs
  • Understand the positioning of the Zulily business; become the subject matter expert for brand positioning within the industry
  • Develop and manage the voice of the customer for sharing learnings and driving positive customer outcomes
  • Work closely with marketing, merchandising, studio and business development teams to develop market research roadmap
  • Design qualitative and quantitative research plans, research questionnaires and moderator guidelines or conduct your own groups
  • Select the most appropriate research methodology and techniques for the goal
  • Interpret data, write reports, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Engage senior leadership to understand critical business issues in order to design insight solutions and share opportunities to deliver better for our core customer
  • Manage a team of individual contributors and managers and enable ownership within the team at all levels
  • Ensure all team members have development plans and paths to grow their careers
  • Drive continuous improvement of team processes and efficiencies of how the team is executing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or related discipline required. MBA preferred.
  • 7-12 years of experience in a marketing role either at an advertising agency, research company or on the client side.
  • Experience with a wide array of product, brand, advertising and customer satisfaction research methodologies
  • Exceptional analytical skills with experience in statistical modelling and analysis
  • Experience developing written documents in a professional setting
  • Experience building customer segments, personas and/or communication frameworks
  • Experience working in retail or a consumer lifestyle brand preferred.
  • Strong organization, presentation and writing skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, work effectively in a cross-functionally.
