Dir - Online Editorial & Social Media Sign In New York, NY New York, NY More (-8) Apply Apply with LinkedIn View Application More (-9) Job Description OVERVIEW OF ROLE: Lead/guide SundanceTV’s online editorial and social media strategies under the direction of the VP of Digital Media and Marketing so as to meet business objectives, generate buzz in the media, support our consumer marketing efforts, increase online traffic both in terms of visitors and page views, deliver projected revenue and further marketing goals on digital platforms. Manage all online content as it relates to editorial voice, content strategy, brand recognition and presence, creative use of new technologies, social media outreach and related marketing needs/sponsored integration. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  Implement editorial strategy and coordinate marketing efforts around stand-alone and ancillary content that establishes SundanceTV as an inventive force across all digital platforms Craft culturally impactful online voice that reflects the SundanceTV brand as smart, forward-thinking, groundbreaking, imaginative, and unexpected Produce buzz-worthy, award-winning content (video, photos, apps, sponsored integration) related to mini-sites devoted to all on-air programs Develop new content/cross-platform ideas that support sales/revenue goals, with a focus on incorporating video. Reports to: VP, Digital Media and Marketing, SundanceTV KEY MEASURES OF SUCCESS Financial Metrics: Deliver on digital goals (traffic, sales) Support overall network goals in terms of revenue and ratings Manage for optimal mix of content within current budget Support ability to service increase branded entertainment revenue Operating Metrics Increase visitors to site, especially within video realm Increase followers of outside social platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, YouTube… Increase registered user database (emails) Increase video views Increase sales opportunities across sundance.tv QUALIFICATIONS Management Skills 5+ years experience in digital media and/or interactive content field Leader able to conceive and deliver on broad range of business objectives while mobilizing team for maximum impact Self-starter and creative thinker who offers attention to detail, multi-tasking on deadline, diverse problem-solving skills, and a willingness to pitch-in Ability to build consensus across a wide range of constituencies and mobilize resources. Strong relationship building skills that can translate into effective partnerships Communicate effectively with technical, design and production staff, management and peers within the company Superior skills in summarizing information in reports and other action Technical/Functional Competencies Demonstrated mastery of Content Management and Publishing Software tools (WordPress preferred) Demonstrated ability to design and launch sophisticated consumer-facing web properties, including content and audience development. Creative and Conceptual Thinker Ability to develop strategies and new ideas for a highly creative organization Demonstrates creative vision and articulation of that vision to the team Stays on top of trends and innovations that can effect the organization’s business and brings keen analytical skills to evaluate opportunities Key Experiences/Achievements College degree required Experience in fast-paced environment with proven track record of building traffic/audience Ability to manage and deliver sophisticated design Strong working knowledge of pop culture, indie film, and the current television landscape (both scripted and unscripted) Strong background in interactive work, websites, email, preferably in the entertainment industry Proven background in writing, editing, and web product development Work experience with both video and blogs The Company is committed to policy of nondiscrimination in its employment and personnel practices.
