ERM is seeking an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to join our Merges and Acquisitions and Operations Performance team in the Dordrecht area. In this role, you will be on teams performing EHS training, auditing, performance improvement projects and due diligence assessments for multi-national clients while working across ERM’s Performance and Assurance and Mergers and Acquisitions practice teams. This is an excellent career opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform EHS compliance audits and assessments at client facilities, write technical audit reports, and implement follow-up corrective actions to assist clients in complying with national and regulations corporate requirements. 
  • Perform due diligence assessments at client locations, evaluate regulatory data, and prepare technical reports.
  • Provide EHS consulting advice to clients
  • Perform multiple projects concurrently within strict timeframes, scope, and budget. Ensure quality standards on project deliverables
  • Manage tasks to support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers for successful project execution
  • As a “seller/doer,” contribute to business development of ERM’s service area. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients. Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
  • Communicate effectively and frequently with managers, clients and team members

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree science, environmental studies, safety and or engineering (or related disciplines)
  • 7 to 15 years of experience with in-plant EHS management or EHS consulting
  • Solid knowledge of Dutch environmental and health & safety regulations, understanding of core business and legal concepts of business operations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; experience in writing comprehensive technical findings and reports in both Dutch and English.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willing and able to travel within the Netherlands on as-needed basis.
