ERM is seeking a motivated leader to join us as a Partner for our Product Stewardship Services team in North Asia (China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and Taiwan). Our Product Stewardship team assists our clients to responsibly manage the health, safety, and environmental aspects of raw materials, intermediate, and consumer products throughout their lifecycle and across their value chain. And we work with clients across a wide range of sectors, including agrochemical, biocides, industrial chemical, manufacturing (both durable and consumer products), energy, and pharmaceutical / health-care, to deliver innovative solutions where necessary. In this client-facing role, the Partner will be responsible for the continuing development of our Product Stewardship Service in North Asia. The team of 12 consultants is based in our North Asia offices. As a senior leader, you will be accountable for the commercial growth whilst leading technical delivery to ensure service excellence. You will work closely with other ERM teams in each country to deliver integrated solutions to our clients, e.g. our information solution and audit services.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Educated at least to degree level in chemistry, toxicology, ecotoxicology, risk assessment, regulatory affairs, hazard communications, or other relevant disciplines.
  • Progressive product-related experience in a consulting or corporate environment, working substantially with industrial clients; preferably with the chemical, pharma and/or manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience with global and North Asia relevant agrochemical and chemical management laws and regulations such as PPP, REACH, CLP, BPR, RoHS, and WEEE. Experience of international chemical regulations such as TSCA, FIFRA, OSHA, UN GHS or emerging market product regulation and registration would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience in industry product assurance and stewardship practices
  • Business acumen to understand business risk and challenges, and recognize corporate opportunities
  • Other recognized technical expertise and an established reputation in the local marketplace
  • He/she will also be a strong people manager who is passionate about developing consultants and help them grow to their next level.
