Job Description

ERM Korea Ltd. is seeking highly competent candidates with experience in, or knowledge of, CDM and Korea offset program, K-ETS (Korea- Emission Trading Scheme) compliance and strategy, global climate change initiatives, climate change risk assessment and other climate change related topics.

The incumbents will be responsible for providing guidance and technical support to clients, performing analysis, developing strategy, plan and conclusion, clearly communicating with written reports, and managing confidential business information and market sensitive data.

The positions require close interaction and coordination with a broad range of internal and external climate change experts, verifiers, and representatives from industry, government, environmental, community organizations, and policymakers.

Responsibilities:

• Offset consulting services for clients, including : CDM, Korea offset projects and other types of greenhouse gas mitigation projects for the successful registration and credit issuance
• K-ETS consulting services for clients, including : developing K-ETS strategy, implementation plan and complying with national regulations
• Global initiative consulting services for clients, including : TCFD, SBTi, CDP, DJSI, RE100, etc.
• Climate change risk assessment services for clients, including : scenario analysis, strategy and implementation plan
• Support ESG and sustainability advisory work.
• Assist ERM Partners and Project Managers to develop opportunities, proposals, other marketing/business activities and effectively deliver projects.
• Stay knowledgeable of trends in the field.

Selection Criteria:

• Degree (Master’s or PhD is plus) in environmental science, natural resources management, environmental or civil engineering, or other relevant disciplines (e.g. applied natural sciences).
• 5+ years of proven, relevant experience (work or applied scientific research) as climate change and sustainability professional.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to think strategically, analyze and synthesize diverse qualitative and quantitative data and information.
• Ability to work well with a range of stakeholders, including project-affected parties, government officials, non-governmental organizations as well as project clients.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently, articulate issues and recommend solutions.
• Proficiency with Hancom and MS office suite; ability to learn others as required
• Excellent verbal and written for both Korean & English language skills are essential.
• Willingness to undertake business travel
