Position Summary:
Direct the day to day clinical operations activities for Kroger Prescription Plans (KPP). Provide daily management for clinical initiatives, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) operations, vendor management, and regulatory and contracting compliance. Direct implementation of clinical pharmacy initiatives and monitors and anlayzes drug utilization and quality patterns across KPP products and services to measure pharmacy initiative effectiveness. Direct day to day management of KPP vendors to ensure optimum levels of performance. Prepare information, recommendations, business cases and/or evaluations to be used by senior team in the development of KPP Clinical Pharmacy strategy. Essential Job Functions:
- Provide clinical advice, expertise, and support services in the development of the KPP Clinical Pharmacy strategy
- Manage implementation and operations of KPP clinical pharmacy initiatives to ensure outcomes defined by the KPP Clinical Pharmacy strategy
- Guide daily PBM vendor oversight activities to align business performance to KPP business strategy
- Oversee regulatory compliance and contracting compliance operations and processes
- Govern implementation of the KPP formulary(s) to align with the KPP Clinical Pharmacy strategy
- Manage the development, management and distribution of all formulary and clinical communications to internal and external KPP customers
- Implement and manage clinical and formulary services and programs related to client-specific programs
- Interact with KPP client teams to provide clinical advice, expertise, and support services to KPP customers, including benefit designs, formulary analysis, and drug spend analysis
- Represent KPP on internal committees, addressing medical and clinical pharmacy related issues
- Prepare, implement, and maintain prior authorization and quantity limit lists for KPP customers
- Work directly with other clinical pharmacists at the claims administrator to maintain the integrity and quality of the claims administrator clinical programs
- Conduct and provide prospective and retrospective health economic/outcome data
- Interview, select and train associates; provide associates coaching and mentoring, develop and communicate performance metrics to assess their effectiveness
- Perform or assist with operations to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements
- Travel to the Lake Mary Office and other off-site locations for meetings and conventions

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
- Clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Project management experience
- Proven strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve complex situations while guiding and coaching individuals to successful outcomes
Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:
- PharmD with clinical practice
- Managed care experience
- Strong skills in managing multiple projects with short timelines
- 8 years of total pharmacy practice experience with at least 4 years in the PBM industry
Education Level: Doctorate Desired
