Job Description

Jack Henry & Associates is seeking an experienced SQL Programmer Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will be providing software installations under Internet Solutions to our core financial institution customers. You will be responsible for developing and managing SQL code to convert 3rd party data to the Jack Henry online banking system while maintaining data integrity. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing consistent and appropriate data coding structures. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge with SQL Server development, C#/.NET and have previous RPG programming experience. 

The Internet Solutions Installation team provides software installation for financial institutions running Silverlake, 20/20 or Core Director as their core processing software. Our team installs NetTeller Internet Banking, NetTeller Cash Management, ESI (electronic statements), goDough mobile banking, JHA Bill Pay and other Internet Solutions product offerings. Candidates will be joining this team of 9 programmer analysts and a supervisor in dispersed Jack Henry locations. 

This position will be hired in Lenexa, KS, Springfield, MO or Monett, MO. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years with SQL Server programming/development in version 2008 or newer. 
  • Must be available to work at least one weekend per month.
  • Travel up to 10% is possible. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • RPG Programming highly preferred.
  • C#/.NET experience. 
  • General knowledge of the financial industry.
  • IBM iSeries knowledge and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develops programming code for new and/or existing software enhancements. 
  • Devises block diagrams, logic procedures and prepares flowcharting.
  • Troubleshoots and debugs existing code.
  • Tests code and fixes to ensure quality.
  • Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.
  • Provides programming support for various interfaces.
  • Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes; may assist the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function. 
  • Creates all programming documentation; may include defining the system and functional requirements of the product
  • May complete project bids and/or work effort estimates. Interacts with customers to gather system requirements. 
  • Mentors, trains, develops and provides support to less experienced co-workers.
