Job Description
SUMMARY
Jack Henry & Associates, Inc., a leading provider of technology solutions and payment processing services, is looking to hire a resourceful and driven Business Analyst. This role will be responsible for building, implementing, and enforcing sound Instructional Design standards. This individual would have a strong Instructional Design or training background, and also understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with an external customer base.
The perfect candidate would act as a leader for the team by:
- Identifying Instruction Design issues and opportunities and recommending appropriate solutions
- Planning, performing and implementing process improvement initiatives
- Developing scalable standards, templates, and processes to increase the quality and efficiency of our output
- Developing efficient and effective output types for new projects, based on the Five Moments of Need
- Working with SMEs and other designers to improve upon existing information-gathering techniques
- Coaching less experienced peers on effectively using ID tools, methodologies, information gathering techniques, and processes to create efficient and effective eLearnings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Instructional Design and/or Training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with external customers.
- Leadership experience.
- Financial Industry experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Researches, analyzes, creates, and maintains Instructional Design Policies & Procedures.
- Manages department processes to ensure compliance and that deadlines are met.
- Defines, documents, and publishes processes and eLearning content, storyboards, templates, and related material. Observes existing practices across multiple departments with similar functions and looks for opportunities to optimize practices and processes.
- Works with Support, Development, and Documentation to develop effective and efficient communication lines between SMEs and Designers, resulting in superior eLearnings from all designers
- Supports collection and interpretation of business information.
- Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
- Collects data to identify root cause of problems.
- Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
- Measures performance against process requirements. Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
- Performs Impact Analysis of all recommended changes and standards. Presents and defends recommendations to mid-management and senior level management.
- Interrelates KPIs and adjusts business variables to improve the effectiveness of the measurements used.
- Analyzes trends and provides correlated studies of potential changes and outcomes.
- Provides advanced “what if” analysis and business intelligence.
- Participates in post-project reviews to determine effectiveness, pertinence and timeliness of newly recommended processes. Identifies processes that are effective and works to change processes in need of further refinement.
- Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality. May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
- Analyzes high volumes of data from multiple sources.
- Tracks the appropriate market space.
- Performs Cost-Benefit and other forms of analyses.
- May assist less experienced peers on Instructional Design techniques, best practices, and tools.
