About the role

We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to build and scale the Frontend team. You’ll have the opportunity to use cutting edge technology. We care a lot about making sure Rippling is performant and free of bugs for our end users. We want to work with exceptional engineers, who get bored at large companies. We are made up of small teams that move fast.

You will:

1. Lead a team of passionate software engineers that prides itself on ownership and impact.
2. Set up and maintain processes that empower the team to move quickly.
3. Ship incrementally and continually at high velocity.
4. Mentor others with your expertise.
5. Be hands-on in technical architecture and reviews.

Requirements:

1. 2+ years experience managing teams of 4+ Frontend engineers.
2. 4+ years experience in Frontend engineering roles.
3. Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
4. Strong hands on coding, design, and architectural skills.
5. Proven track record of taking initiative and leading projects
6. Proficiency with recruiting, organizing, and motivating teams
