About this opportunity

The candidate will be responsible for testing several Finance applications such as ERP systems, Web applications, SFDC, Apttus and manufacturing applications with focus on Financial applications. This is a cross functional responsibility involving different groups including IT and Finance users. Successful candidate will have the ability to understand major systems integration between Finance systems and other technologies.

In this role, you will…

• Responsible for Cross functional testing involving different groups including IT and Finance users
• Have the ability to understand major systems integration between Finance systems and other technologies
• Responsible for monitoring the configuration and deployment of financial systems into test environments for multiple projects
• Given the opportunity to improve many internal processes via automation, implementation of corporate-wide standards in software versioning and deployment. Such as; source control labeling, and promotion of builds from one testing stage to the next. 
• Work closely with software developers, your peers in SQA, Project managers, and a diverse group of cross-functional teams including software, I.T., and Finance
• Provide support for corporate business applications such as SAP and SFDC in a QA environment
• Work with off shore teams
• Analyze project documents in order to prepare effective test plans and test cases for financial applications such as SAP, OneSource, SF, and Apttus
• Publish project sites, plans, and documentation using tools such as Excel, Word, wikis, and MS Project
• Troubleshoot and quickly come up with solutions related to networks, systems integration between and finance and other applications
• Balance team and individual responsibilities and go the extra mile to accomplish team goals
• Meet commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, and stays focused under pressure
• Tackles problems and takes independent action, seeks out new responsibilities, acts on opportunities, generates new ideas, and practices self-development
• Provide support to audit processes and quality management system as required

In this role, you’ll need …

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree or equivalent years of experience
• 5+ years of SAP experience in Software Quality Assurance
• 5+ years of SAP or other ERP systems functional experience in inventory management, MRP and procurement
• The ability to verify finance system configurations, version numbers, network configuration, debugging and monitoring of systems resources as needed
• Good understanding of corporate financial concepts and accounting procedures, including advanced pricing, discounting, revenue deferral and recognition, cost accounting, GL, AP/AR, credit/debit processing
• Working knowledge of SAP package or other ERP package, including functionalities in finance and distribution modules
• Working knowledge of SFDC/Apttus or similar applications, including Customer Master, Order Management, Pricing, Discounts, promotions
• Understanding of Standard Objects and Custom Objects, Relationships, Users, Roles & Profiles
• Security & Sharing, Record Types, Page Layouts, Workflow & Approval process, Reports and Dashboards
• Experience working with Data loader and Workbench is preferred
• Knowledge of automation tools for ERP is preferred
• Scripting knowledge of Python/Perl/Shell/Java is preferred.
• Experience of working with a mx of On shore and Off shore teams
• Experience with Agile methodologies
