Align Technology is a global medical device company that pioneered the invisible orthodontics market with the introduction of the Invisalign system in 1999. Today, we develop innovative, technology-rich products such as Invisalign system of clear aligner treatments, the iTero scanner services to help dental professionals achieve the clinical results they expect and deliver effective, cutting-edge dental options to their patients.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Manager to create and manage our new Product CI team in Moscow.

We are looking for a leader who can build and inspire a team to drastically speed up the way we do treatment simulation and planning for our doctors and patients. We want to automate and optimize a lot of the manual steps we take today in our treatment planning process, which is an advanced 3D Dental Orthodontics CAD system enabling full end-to-end patient-specific simulations. With a passion for understanding our current users, distributed around the world, the team shall imagine solutions to reduce the most time consuming actions and automatize them partially or fully.

The position requires strong technical skills ( C++, 3D geometry) along with solid project management experience and good communications skills. Fluent English is a must to be able to communicate with overseas colleagues.

Description

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and release of new versions of the company’s Doctor facing applications stack (different platforms, a few releases during the year)
• Supervise and evolve the development team ( 6 - 10 software engineers)
• Work closely with Product Management on the apps functionality and design
• Work closely with SQA on apps testing, verification and validation
• Lead continuous improvement of the SW development process with the focus on productivity and quality

Qualifications and Skills:

• MS in Computer Science, or allied fields (Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering)
• 5+ years of SW development (C/C++) in the areas of CAD/CAM, image processing, video games, animation or 3D modeling tools.
• 3+ years of SW development management experience
• Strong understanding and experience working with key up to date SW development methodologies including Agile
• Strong people management skills;
• Strong collaboration skills, ability to work in matrix organization
• Strong focus on customer needs
• Fluent in English
• Ability to travel (4-6 weeks per year)

• C++, QT, Visual Studio, OpenGL, Python
• Java Script, WebGL, JQuery as a plus
• C#, Java as a plus
