Strategic Business Support Analyst

The Contract Manufacturing and International Teams are dedicated to leading projects that drive domestic and global expansion for Niagara. We strive on our strong analytical competencies, our detailed knowledge of the product and market, our ability to build and maintain positive relationships and our knowledge of Niagara’s core competencies to help us achieve our goals of identifying the right international opportunities for the business.

The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for statistical datamining of various global databases, providing unbiased presentation of data, performing extensive data analysis, and providing analytical insight regarding domestic and international markets to internal and external shareholders to help guide strategic decisions on new market expansion. The Analyst will also provide a high level of daily administrative support and oversight for special projects.

Essential Functions

  • Collect, analyze, and compare relevant data from various syndicated data aggregators such as Euromonitor and Global Data 
  • Perform market trend analysis to assist understand barriers to entry and opportunities for global expansion
  • Development and ongoing reporting of executive level updates for Niagara’s global operations
  • Lead research projects on competitive landscape, potential customers, and manufacturing opportunities
  • Oversight of summer intern project in updating publishing annual international market analysis publication (including digitization through Tableau or similar platform)
  • Assist in creating metrics to evaluate and measure expansion opportunities
  • Development and maintenance of global pricing analysis, bottle & packaging databases
  • Conduct research to analyze competitors, brand perceptions, market penetration issues, etc.
  • Prepare presentations based on team needs
  • Review and route all division order requisitions; process transactions for division expenses
  • Provide general division office team support
  • Actively contribute to update and improve administrative policy and processes/workflow
  • Support division needs, events, and ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications:
  • 4 Years – Experience in strategy and/or corporate development
  • 6 Years – Experience in high volume data and analysis
  • 6 Years – Experience verbal presentation and MS Office (Excel) skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 Years– Experience in strategy and/or international corporate development
  • 6 Years – Experience in high volume data and analysis
  • 6 Years – Experience in verbal presentation and MS Office skills
  • Advanced Excel skills

Education

  • Minimum Required: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business administration, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field
  • Preferred: 
  • Master's Degree in Mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field

Certification/License:

  • Preferred: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt

Competencies

  • Extensive experience in data mining, predictive analysis and cross-referencing statistics across multiple databases
  • Mastery of data manipulation and trend analysis
  • Fast learner of industry-wide business trends and analyzing data to anticipate patterns
  • Identifying irregularities in performance and researching cause/effect impact
  • Creating predictions and forecasts for long-term performance
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a fast paced, highly dynamic department
  • Proven record of adaptability and ability to respond to ever-changing requests in reports and forecasts, as well as changes in deadlines
  • Familiarity with Niagara internal systems and processes (i.e. Oracle Procurement, Order to Cash, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with exceptional project management and reporting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication – able to communicate thru all levels of the organization
  • Training co-workers on reporting tools and creating report templates for team members
  • Solid business acumen, management, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with effective time management, organizational and leadership skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to conceptualize and execute in compliance with minimal direction
  • Highly collaborative team player, able to work proactively with multiple stakeholders
