Job Overview

Le Tote is looking for an experienced Director of Finance to oversee all financial aspects of the business and drive the company’s financial strategy and planning. The role will be responsible for providing financial planning, execution, analytical support and work very closely with the CEO and other Executive Staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee, review, and manage the budgets for each business department
• Assist in company-wide budgetary planning
• Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation
• Analyze the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future
• Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed
• Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
• Supervise financial team and other employees in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll, etc.
• Prepare official reports on a monthly and annual basis
• Seek out methods and practices to minimize financial risk
• Contract auditing services to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date
• Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and accountants
• Update and implement financial policies and procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles and best practices
• Outstanding analytical and communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with and influence the exec team and other team leaders
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment and experience working in ecommerce or retail is mandatory
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Immaculate analytical skills, attention to detail and comfortable working with data to drive decision making and insights.
• Highly organized and responsive to tight deadlines

EXPERIENCE:

• 5-10 years of experience in Accounting, Tax or FP&A function leading a Finance organization in a high growth company and having demonstrated success in establishing financial controls, budgeting and financial modeling
• Management experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Experience with the following a plus:
• Prior work at a Big 4 firm
• Venture-backed, high growth company experience
• Investment Banking
