Job Description

Primary responsibilities include coordinating the implementation of new and add-on software applications, while following overall project requirements. A successful candidate will be able to effectively identify customer needs and allocate the appropriate resources necessary to complete specific project tasks in a timely manner. The Project Manager must also be capable of exercising the authority and autonomy needed for effective project management, while maintaining personal integrity and core company values.

• Manages multiple implementation projects simultaneously.
• Holds pre-planning meetings internally, working with sales and other departments to review contract and create detailed project plans.
• Holds Pre-Implementation Meetings with customer to review contractual deliverables, review customer and Spillman responsibilities, set customer expectations, and solidify the implementation timeline.
• Makes on-site customer visits as necessary to review the process and progress of product implementation and scheduled tasks.
• Procures hardware, third party software and services, and other deliverables as defined in the purchase contract.
• Delivers projects on time and on budget
• Establishes and administers contract payment and product delivery schedules
• Embraces challenges, creates and communicates a clear vision to all team members, creates a positive environment to ensure project success
• Uses problem-solving skills in multiple arenas such as leadership, strategy, team building, conflict resolution and planning.
• Identifies project problems (and/or risks) in advance so that they do not create barriers to progress.
• Expected to analyze and manage project detail while simultaneously aligning the “big picture” project priorities with the priorities of the company and customer.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Management and/or Business Management or related field preferred
• Typically requires more than 3 years work experience in a project management role including managing projects timelines, personnel, and teams. 
• Proven leadership and decision making capabilities are essential
• Must be able to value, understand, and integrate diverse points of view to explore possible innovative solutions while at the same time staying on track, focused and on plan.
• Experience in shaping project results in the larger organizational context while managing the details of teamwork and product quality.
• Exhibit evidence of a strong desire for goal achievement
• Working knowledge of time management, cost management, risk management, scope management and communications management.
• May require more than 50% travel
• PMP Certification - nice to have
• Public Safety / Law enforcement background - preferred
